Happy August everyone! I just read that August is National Family Fun Month!
I hope each of you discover some great ways to enjoy time with family. My Family Summer Fun Bucket List has some fun ideas for you! There are also some other great ways to enjoy your time together!
Family Fun Craft
One of my favorite thing to do with my daughter is make quick crafts. She especially enjoys creating egg carton caterpillars, something I used to do with my mom when I was a little person.
She has been very interested in the concept that caterpillars turn into butterflies, so we’ve been reading books and watching videos that explain that process. That, added with the fact that her Nonna bought her some new art supplies for her birthday, means we’ve made quite a few caterpillars lately.
These are a simple, quick craft for when you don’t have much time to plan – all you need is an empty egg carton and any craft supplies you like to decorate with.
This is a fun activity, and it keeps Ruth occupied for a while! It would make a great art activity for a Butterfly themed birthday party – you can also make chrysalises (chrysalii?) and butterflies as well!
I love the way this little guy turned out. She decided to name him Jumper.
It’s great when you can have so much fun with such a simple craft. Even as an adult, I love making these.
Of course, another great way to spend time with your family this month is by throwing a party! If you don’t have an occasion coming up, throw a “Last Bash Before School” with your kids and their friends, or even a “Goodbye Summer” party! Get creative.
As always, if you need assistance planning any event, please contact me and we can discuss the services I provide.
Have a great Family Fun Month!
